Joe is going into his 16th year of teaching and his 5th year in DPS. He is from California. Joe graduated from American University, with an undergraduate degree in History. He has also received degress in Child Development, Multiple Subjects Elementary Education, and Single Subject-History Education degrees from Cal State University-Chico. Joe loves to garden, hike, play soccer, read, watch movies, and play many other sports or games.

Miss Dahs is beginning her second year teaching at Valverde. She graduated from Lenoir Rhyne University with a Bachelor in Elementary Education. She is currently getting her Masters in Educational Technology at The Ohio State University. Miss Dahs has lived in Denver for 5 years and is originally from Columbus, Ohio. This is her 5th year teaching elementary school. She is very excited to be teaching science and social studies again this year. When Miss Dahs is not at school, she enjoys exploring new places around Colorado, reading, and hanging out with her dog Echo.
La Sra. Dahs está comenzando su segundo año como maestra en Valverde. Se graduó de la Universidad Lenoir Rhyne con una Licenciatura en Educación Primaria. Actualmente está obteniendo su Maestría en Tecnología Educativa en la Universidad Estatal de Ohio. La Sra. Dahs ha vivido en Denver durante 4 años y es originaria de Columbus, Ohio. K-2 Interventionist

Kori Leaman-Miller has been fortunate to have lived in Haiti, China, France, and Greece. In the late 1980s, Kori also lived for four years with her husband in El Salvador. In 1991 Leaman-Millers moved to Denver to raise their two boys, and when her youngest started first grade, Kori began teaching in DPS. Twenty-three years later, Kori still delights in working with and learning from inquisitive students and their families. This is her second year at Valverde. She will continue as a halftime reading interventionist working with students in Kinder through 2nd grade in ELA-S classrooms. When not at school, Kori enjoys traveling, falling asleep while reading, and trying (unsuccessfully) to keep up with her husband on her bike.
Kori Leaman-Miller ha tenido la suerte de haber vivido en Haití, China, Francia y Grecia. A finales de los años 1980, Kori también vivió durante cuatro años con su marido en El Salvador. En 1991, Leaman-Millers se mudó a Denver para criar a sus dos hijos, y cuando el menor comenzó el primer grado, Kori comenzó a enseñar en DPS. Veintidós años después, Kori todavía disfruta trabajando y aprendiendo de estudiantes curiosos y sus familias. 2nd Grade Teacher & Math Interventionist

Heidi is starting her 1st year at Valverde, and 23rd year in Denver Public Schools. She has been an instructional coach, Assistant Principal, and has taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades prior to her coaching roles. She has a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Colorado and an M.A. in School Leadership through the Ritchie Program for School Leaders at the University of Denver. Heidi is originally from Montana, and considers Colorado her home, since she’s lived here since she was 9 years old. She lives in Denver with her energetic and curious 5 year old son, Soren. They to garden, be outdoors, and spend time with family and friends.
Heidi está comenzando su primer año en Valverde y su año 23 en las Escuelas Públicas de Denver. Ha sido entrenadora de instrucción, subdirectora y enseñó en 1.°, 2.° y 3.° grado antes de desempeñar sus funciones de entrenadora. Ella tiene una B.S. en Psicología de la Universidad de Colorado y una Maestría en Liderazgo Escolar a través del Programa Ritchie para Líderes Escolares de la Universidad de Denver. Heidi es originaria de Montana y considera a Colorado su hogar, ya que vive aquí desde que tenía 9 años. Vive en Denver con su enérgico y curioso hijo de 5 años, Soren.
