This will be Brittany’s first year with the Valverde Jaguars! She has been teaching elementary school math for the past 6 years in Southwest Denver. She is beyond excited to teach 4th grade math and teach her students about the joy of math and persevering in solving problems. She is originally from Tennessee and loves spending time with her husband Josh and 2 crazy dogs Bosco and Merlin. In her spare time she likes to spend time with family and friends (especially outdoors), cooking, and seeing live music!

Courtney is beginning her 8th year at Valverde. She loves the critical thinking and passion that comes with upper elementary and strives to connect this to current issues and advocacy projects. She is originally from Massachusetts, and has lived in New Zealand and Honduras before moving to Denver. When she’s not at school, she loves hiking, climbing, skiing, reading and contemplating which spot in her house needs a new plant.
Courtney está comenzando su sexto año en Valverde. Le encanta el pensamiento crítico y la pasión que acompaña a este grupo de edad y se esfuerza por conectar sus pasiones con problemas actuales y proyectos de defensa. Es originaria de Massachusetts y ha vivido en Nueva Zelanda y Honduras antes de mudarse a Denver. Cuando no está en la escuela, le encanta ir de excursión, escalar, esquiar, dar clases de spinning y contemplar qué lugar de su casa necesita una nueva planta.

Mery is going to her 6th year at Valverde! She has taught different elementary grades and she was an instructional coach in North Carolina. She loves teaching and learning about different culures! She is from Colombia, but she has also lived in North Carolina. Her husband is also a teacher and they have two beautiful daughters, Paula and Luciana. She loves sports, music and spending time with family and friends!
Mery va a su 6º año en Valverde! Ha enseñado en diferentes grados de primaria y fue entrenadora de instrucción en Carolina del Norte. ¡Le encanta enseñar y aprender sobre diferentes culturas! Ella es de Colombia, pero también ha vivido en Carolina del Norte. Su esposo también es maestro y tienen dos hermosas hijas, Paula y Luciana. ¡Le encantan los deportes, la música y pasar tiempo con familiares y amigos!
