This is Laure’s 1st year working at Valverde and she was serving students as a School Social Worker at MSLA previously. Laure is from France and has discovered the American School System through her two daughters that are in DPS. She believes that every family should be able to thrive and is passionate about advocating for children and their parents. Laure loves outdoors, playing boardgames or card games and spending time with family.
Este es el primer año que Laure trabaja en Valverde y anteriormente trabajó con estudiantes como trabajadora social escolar en MSLA. Laure es de Francia y descubrió el sistema escolar estadounidense a través de sus dos hijas que están en DPS. Ella cree que todas las familias deberían poder prosperar y le apasiona defender a los niños y a sus padres. A Laure le encanta estar al aire libre, jugar juegos de mesa o de cartas y pasar tiempo con la familia.

Cynthia is a Colorado native and has been with Valverde for twelve years and has served different roles. She loves working with parents, coordinating community events and serving students. Her passion is helping students believe in themselves and their goals. When not at work, she is busy spending time with her five daughters and her husband. Cynthia loves food, music and coffee!
Cynthia ha estado con Valverde durante doce años y ha desempeñado diferentes roles. Le encanta trabajar con los padres, coordinar eventos comunitarios y servir a los estudiantes. Su pasión es ayudar a los estudiantes a creer en sí mismos y en sus metas. Hanna is in her 7th year working at Valverde, and has been serving students as a School Social Worker throughout DPS for over a decade. She believes that every child deserves to experience equity and joy in education, and sees this around her on a daily basis at Valverde! A child of Swedish immigrants, Hanna is a multilingual proud mother of two Valverde boys, ages 8 and 9. Hanna’s greatest desire is to create an Early Childhood Development Center for ages 0-3 at Valverde! You can find Hanna dreaming big, adding books to her “to read” list, drinking too much coffee and too little water and above all, living life through her children’s eyes as much as possible. Hanna calls Maine home.

Lisyuri is originally from Venezuela, but moved to the U.S. in 2009. She truly wants to help every student in Valverde to succeed to meet their own personal goals for this school year and beyond. She is passionate to help students flourish in their life by providing a highly personalized approach tailored to their needs. When she is not at work she is outside enjoying the outdoors climbing, hiking, kayaking, playing tennis and spending time with family and friends!
Lisyuri es originaria de Venezuela, pero se mudó a los EE. UU. En 2009. Realmente quiere ayudar a todos los estudiantes de Valverde a tener éxito para alcanzar sus propias metas personales para este año escolar y más allá. Le apasiona ayudar a los estudiantes a prosperar en su vida al brindarles un enfoque altamente personalizado que se adapte a sus necesidades. Beth is looking forward to joining the Valverde team this school year. This is her 11th year supporting students and families as a School Psychologist in DPS, and her 23rd year in the profession. She has also worked in Alaska and Texas. Beth is originally from the MD/VA area. Her family (husband, daughter, and son) moved to CO in 2004 from Alaska. She enjoys gardening, camping, hiking, biking, hanging out with friends and family, and good food! She loves animals and currently has 2 rescue dogs (Kodi and Skye).
Beth espera unirse al equipo de Valverde este año escolar. Este es su undécimo año apoyando a estudiantes y familias como psicóloga escolar en DPS, y su vigésimo tercer año en la profesión. También ha trabajado en Alaska y Texas. Beth es originaria del área de MD/VA. Su familia (esposo, hija e hijo) se mudó a CO en 2004 desde Alaska. Le gusta la jardinería, acampar, hacer caminatas, andar en bicicleta, salir con amigos y familiares y ¡la buena comida! Ama a los animales y actualmente tiene 2 perros rescatados (Kodi y Skye).
Maria is very excited to join the Valverde community this year as a School Psych Intern, and will also be working on the district Bilingual Assessment Team. She has worked in DPS since 2011 as both a paraprofessional and teacher. Originally from Denver, she enjoys reading, finding delicious food (especially ice cream!) wherever she goes, spending time with family, and playing games.
María está muy emocionada de unirse a la comunidad de Valverde este año como pasante de psicología escolar y también trabajará en el equipo de evaluación bilingüe del distrito. Ha trabajado en DPS desde 2011 como asistente docente y maestra. Originaria de Denver, le gusta leer, encontrar comida deliciosa (¡especialmente helado!) dondequiera que vaya, pasar tiempo con la familia y jugar.

Tori is thrilled to join team Valverde this year as their Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)! She is from Alabama and has been an SLP for four years. Tori has a passion for helping students meet their communication goals- from speech sounds to fluency strategies, language to AAC (alternative and augmentative communication) and everything in between! In her downtime, Tori enjoys baking, reading, and hiking with her dog, Riley.
¡Tori está encantada de unirse al equipo Valverde este año como su patóloga del habla y lenguaje (SLP)! Ella es de Alabama y ha sido SLP durante cuatro años. A Tori le apasiona ayudar a los estudiantes a alcanzar sus objetivos de comunicación, desde los sonidos del habla hasta las estrategias de fluidez, desde el lenguaje hasta la AAC (comunicación alternativa y aumentativa) ¡y todo lo demás!
