3rd & 4th Grade Math Teacher

This is Brittany’s second year with the Valverde Jaguars and 7th year teaching elemantary school math in Southwest Denver. She is beyond excited to teach 3rd and 4th grade math this year and to be able to help her students find the the joy of math and persevering in solving problems. She is originally from Tennessee and loves spending time with her husband Josh and 2 crazy dogs Bosco and Merlin. In her spare time she likes to spend time with family and friends (especially outdoors), cooking, doing yoga, and seeing live music!
Este es el segundo año de Brittany con los Valverde Jaguars y el séptimo año enseñando matemáticas en escuelas primarias en el suroeste de Denver. Está más que emocionada de enseñar matemáticas de 3.º y 4.º grado este año y de poder ayudar a sus alumnos a encontrar el placer de las matemáticas y perseverar en la resolución de problemas. Ella es originaria de Tennessee y le encanta pasar tiempo con su esposo Josh y sus dos perros locos, Bosco y Merlin. Courtney is beginning her 9th year at Valverde. She loves the critical thinking and passion that comes with upper elementary thinkers and strives to connect this to current issues and advocating to make our world a better, kinder place. She is originally from Massachusetts, and has lived in New Zealand and Honduras before moving to Denver. When she’s not at school, she loves hiking, climbing, skiing, reading and contemplating which spot in her yard needs a new plant.

Ella es Yaqueline Novoa. Para ella es un honor servir como maestra de grado cuarto ( ELA-S ) en la escuela primaria Valverde . Yaqueline ha trabajado con niños desde 2011. Ella tiene una licenciatura en educación y una maestría en TESOL. Tiene experiencia enseñando a estudiantes de nivel primaria en diferentes lugares. Yaqueline trabajo como maestra de primaria en Bogotá, Colombia durante cuatro años, también trabajo un año escolar en una escuela de inmersión en español en Sioux Falls, Dakota del Sur. Durante los últimos 5 años trabajo como profesora de ;español en las escuelas públicas del condado de union en Carolina del Norte. Para esta maestra enseñar es su pasión; Ella cree que a través de la educación se puede cambiar el mundo. A Yaqueline le gusta conocer diferentes lugares. En su tiempo libre ama estar al lado de su familia.
This is Yaqueline Novoa. She is honored to serve as a fourth grade (ELA-S) teacher at Valverde Elementary School. Yaqueline has worked with children since 2011. She has a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in TESOL. He has experience teaching elementary level students in different places. Yaqueline worked as an elementary teacher in Bogotá, Colombia for four years, and also worked one school year at a Spanish immersion school in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. For the last 5 years I have worked as a Spanish teacher in the public schools of Union County in North Carolina. For this teacher, teaching is her passion; She believes that through education you can change the world. Yaqueline likes to visit different places. In his free time he loves being with his family.
