Kris is excited and honored to serve as the the new school counselor at Valverde Elementary. This marks her twenty-fourth year in education. Throughout her educational career, she has had the great pleasure of working at both the elementary and secondary level serving as a teacher, school psychologist, school counselor, and school leader. In addition, she has been fortunate to fulfill these roles in various states, including Idaho, Michigan, Wisconsin and Colorado. No matter the role in education, she always returns to her core belief that ALL students can learn. She is committed to fostering an inclusive, safe educational environment where EVERY Student Succeeds. She looks forward to making a positive impact towards equity and excellence at Valverde and collaborating with the staff and families to ensure that all students continue to grow academically, emotionally, and socially. Outside of school, she can be found exploring the outdoors with dogs, Banjo & Ruby, hiking, kayaking, skiing, camping, traveling, and enjoying bluegrass music. Valverde Elementary is truly a special place to be and she is thankful to have the opportunity to be a part of this special community!
Kris está emocionada y honrada de servir como la nueva consejera escolar en la Primaria Valverde. Este es su vigésimo cuarto año en educación. A lo largo de su carrera educativa ha tenido el gran placer de trabajar tanto en el nivel primaria como secundaria sirviendo como maestra, psicóloga escolar, consejera escolar y líder escolar. Además, ha tenido la suerte de desempeñar estas funciones en varios estados, incluidos Idaho, Michigan, Wisconsin y Colorado. No importa el papel en la educación, ella siempre vuelve a su creencia fundamental de que TODOS los estudiantes pueden aprender. Ella está comprometida a fomentar un entorno educativo inclusivo y seguro donde TODOS los estudiantes tengan éxito. Espera generar un impacto positivo hacia la equidad y la excelencia en Valverde y colaborar con el personal y las familias para garantizar que todos los estudiantes continúen creciendo académica, emocional y socialmente. Fuera de la escuela, se la puede encontrar explorando el aire libre con perros, Banjo y Ruby, haciendo caminatas, practicando kayak, esquiando, acampando, viajando y disfrutando de la música bluegrass. ¡La Primaria Valverde es verdaderamente un lugar especial para estar y ella está agradecida de tener la oportunidad de ser parte de esta comunidad especial!
